The Moment Everything Became Real

When the final samples arrived, there was a quiet kind of exhilaration. What had lived in our heads for so long was now in our hands. Real fabric. Real texture. Real shape. This wasn’t just a vision anymore. It was ours.
But almost immediately, we knew the next step couldn’t be delayed. We needed to take marketing seriously. And we didn’t have the budget that most brands begin with. We weren’t working with tens of thousands of dollars or a ready-made playbook. We weren’t experts either. But we knew that the way we told our story, how we introduced Lynx + Loom to the world, was going to matter.
I started reaching out to every agency I could find in the Bay Area. I wasn’t looking for flash. I was looking for alignment. I wanted a team who understood the kind of brand we were building. One rooted in intention. Quiet confidence. Craftsmanship without compromise.
Eventually, we narrowed it down to two strong options. At the same time, I made a personal decision that changed everything. I left my job.
It wasn’t impulsive. It came after months of feeling burnt out and disconnected from what used to drive me. The only place I felt fully present was when I was working on Lynx + Loom. Those moments gave me energy again. After many long conversations, I put in my notice. There was relief in that choice, but also fear and guilt as I had no new role lined up. If I’m being honest, it still feels surreal. And, I’m deeply grateful to T for supporting that leap.
Without much cushion, we decided to go forward with what we could afford. The priority was momentum. We knew we could refine as we moved.
So now, we focus on what’s next: finalizing the website, preparing for the shoot, and building the quiet drumbeat of our pre-launch.
But it’s more than a checklist. Lynx + Loom has always been more than a brand. It began as a tribute to Mango, our orange tabby, and has grown into something that gives me purpose. There is joy in building something intentional. There is meaning in creating pieces that help people feel like the best version of themselves.
Lynx + Loom is my way of stepping into a life I want to live more fully. One built around creativity, clarity, and conviction. I’m not here to prove anything. I just want to build something that lasts. Something that opens doors, not just for me, but for others too.
Confidence is at the heart of everything we do. Not the loud kind. The steady kind. The kind that comes from knowing who you are and feeling at ease in your skin. Our sweaters are designed to carry that feeling. That’s the goal.
Some nights I worry it won’t work. That we’re pouring so much into something uncertain. Other nights, I lie awake because the possibilities feel endless. I remind myself to move slowly. To take one considered step at a time.
The moment I'm holding onto is this: someone pulling our sweater over their shoulders and standing just a little taller. Not because of a label, but because they feel good in it. Confident. Collected. Like themselves. Someone who no longer has to choose between comfort and confidence, between looking good and feeling warm, between affordability and quality that lasts.
If you're reading this, you're part of this moment with us. You're watching something be born. And I can't help but think—maybe you've been searching for this sweater too. Maybe you know the feeling of settling, of compromise, of reaching for something in your closet that's close but not quite right. Maybe you're ready for the sweater that just works.
Your excitement matters to us. Your anticipation gives us energy. The messages you send, the moments you share—you're not just customers waiting for a product. You're the reason we believe this story is worth telling.
